Neighborhood Captain: Volunteer Role
Help lead the movement for a stronger, more connected Frederick — right from your own block.
Overview:

Neighborhood Captains are the heart of the Ryan Trout for City Council campaign. As a trusted voice in your community, you’ll help us build real, people-powered momentum in your neighborhood. You’ll connect with neighbors, identify supporters, and ensure our message reaches every doorstep.
Responsibilities:

* Talk with your neighbors about Ryan’s campaign and why this election matters
* Find lawn sign locations and help place signs in visible, high-traffic spots
* Host or coordinate a house party (or two!) — or ask someone else to host
* Help with canvassing in your immediate area, either solo or with a team
* Keep our campaign informed about local issues, events, or needs in your neighborhood
Time Commitment:

4–6 hours per month through September 2025, with flexible scheduling. Great for folks who want to be involved, informed, and impactful — even with a busy life.
What You’ll Get:

* Training and materials to make outreach easy and effective
* A direct line to campaign leadership
* The chance to shape Frederick’s future alongside neighbors
* Recognition on our campaign website and at volunteer events
Let’s build a Frederick that works for all of us — one neighborhood at a time.
